Some of us may be checking the calendar and thinking when do the little ‘darlings’ to back to school and many in property may be thinking, I wish they would go back so business can return to normal. The summer holiday period can be frustratingly quiet and trying to progress sales or secure new schemes can be doubly frustrating as key people are on holiday usually at this time of year.

Like others we have been away but the level of how busy we are has not dipped at all. Throughout August it has been close to manic. New build scheme opportunities, proposing on new schemes, producing reports visiting sites has been incredibly busy. Off the back of this have come the new sales, reservation forms and ongoing demand. The holiday slow down has not hit us at all!

Why? I think much of this is down to our ongoing regarded reputation in the buy to let property industry, partly because we have been talking to existing new home builder clients more and more and the referrals have been flying in. Of course much of this is inevitably down to the ongoing demand for quality rental properties from the growing rental market and people becoming landlords for the first time with the aim to try and make their cash work for them.

In the past few weeks we have secured and sold new build town-houses in Barnsley, new build town-houses in Liverpool, new build bungalows near Mansfield and an array of tenanted apartments in Merseyside and West Yorkshire. It shows demand is solid and the northern focus continues to grow.
